PCM Messages Not Received

PCM MESSAGES NOT RECEIVED

For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information Electrical Diagrams.

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

- Set Condition:
The Instrument Cluster detects no PCM bus messages received for 6 seconds.





1. NO RESPONSE - PCI BUS - PCM
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, select Body Controller and System Test.

Does the scan tool display PCM Active on the Bus?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Perform the NO RESPONSE FROM POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) diagnostic procedure. No Response From PCM (Powertrain Control Module)

2. INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
1. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
2. Cycle the ignition and wait approximately 1 minute.
3. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Did this DTC reset?

Yes

- Replace the Instrument Cluster.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test

No

- The condition is not present at this time. Monitor scan tool parameters while wiggling the related wire harness. Search for any Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) that may apply. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connector terminals.
