Removal







REMOVAL





1. With vehicle in neutral, position vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove exhaust heat shield bolts from the belly pan.
3. Remove belly pan bolts and pan.
4. Remove universal joint bolts and straps (1) from pinion yoke (2).
5. Slide propeller shaft yoke out of the transmission.
6. Remove exhaust crossover pipe.
7. Remove shock clevis bolts at lower control arms.
8. Remove toe links and stabilizer bar links from the knuckles.
9. Remove lower ball joint nut and separate the ball joint from the knuckles.
10. Remove half shafts from the axle with Puller 9052.




11. Remove pinion mounting bolts (3) and flag nuts (1) from axle assembly.
12. Remove frame mounting bolts (2) from axle assembly.
13. Lower axle assembly from vehicle.
