ASSEMBLY

NOTE: If the coil spring has been removed from the spring compressor, proceed with the next step, otherwise, proceed with step 3.

1. Place the coil spring in the compressor following the manufacturers instructions. Install the coil spring in the compressor with the round coil end of the spring facing downward while the flat coil end faces upward.
2. Compress the coil spring.




3. Install the shock absorber (1) through the bottom of the coil spring until the lower spring seat contacts the lower end of the coil spring. Rotate the shock until the coil spring end (2) sits squarely against the step (3) built into the lower spring seat.




4. While holding the shock, collar (1) and jounce bumper (4) upward, install the upper seat (3) on the shock absorber utilizing the cutout in the seat.




5. Position the upper seat on the top of the coil spring so the cutout (2) in the upper seat is not positioned at the upper end of the coil spring (3).
6. Slowly release the tension from the coil spring by backing off the compressor drive completely. As the tension is relieved, make sure the coil spring, upper and lower seats, and shock absorber align properly.
7. Push back the spring compressor upper and lower hooks, then remove the shock assembly from the spring compressor.
8. Install the shock assembly on the vehicle Installation.
