Seat Belt Retractor - Installation

INSTALLATION





1. Place seat belt and retractor assembly into position.
2. Fish seat belt through turning loop (2).




3. Install two bolts (1) to seat belt retractor. Tighten bolts to 39.5 Nm (29 ft. lbs.).




4. Connect the electrical connector (1) at the seat belt retractor.




5. Replace carpet that was moved aside to access the seat belt and retractor.
6. Pull block (2 X 4) out from in between bulkhead and rear bulkhead panel.
7. Install the three screws retaining the rear bulkhead panel. One screw located at console and two screws located at door edge.
8. Place sport hoop in position in vehicle. Install the two retaining bolts to sport hoop. Tighten bolts to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).
9. Install the two rubber plugs at sport hoop.
10. Place the sill plate into position on the retaining slots and firmly snap into place.
11. Install the lower seat belt anchor bolt (2). Tighten bolt to 39.5 Nm (29 ft. lbs.).
12. Readjust seat to the previous customer position.
13. Put convertible top up.
