Suction Line

DESCRIPTION

The A/C suction line is the refrigerant line that goes from the A/C evaporator to the A/C compressor. The A/C suction line is made from light-weight aluminum tubing with braze-less and crimp type fittings and nylon tubes with rubber barrier hose Description.

The A/C suction line is serviced in two sections. The front section connects between the A/C accumulator and the A/C compressor. The rear section connects between the A/C evaporator and the A/C accumulator and includes the low side service port.

NOTE: Replacement of the refrigerant line O-ring seals is required anytime a refrigerant line is disconnected. Failure to replace the rubber O-ring seals may result in a refrigerant system leak.

The A/C suction line has no serviceable parts except for the O-ring seals and the low side service port valve core. The O-ring seals used on the connections are made from a special type of rubber not affected by R-134a refrigerant. The O-ring seals must be replaced whenever the A/C suction line is disconnected.

The A/C suction line cannot be repaired and must be replaced if leaking or damaged.
