Passenger Door Unlatch Inoperative

Diagnostic Test

1. DTC PRESENT
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display any Door Lock related trouble codes?

Yes

- Diagnose and repair the DTC(s).

No

- Go To 2

2. LATCH MOTOR




Disconnect the Latch Motor connector.
Connect a 12-volt test light between the (P126) Passenger Door Unlatch Driver circuit and the (P128) Passenger Door Unlatch Return circuit.
With the scan tool, actuate the UNLATCH PASS DOOR and then actuate RETURN LATCH.
Did the test light illuminate brightly when the door was actuated?

Yes

- Replace the Latch Motor.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Go To 3

3. PASSENGER DOOR UNLATCH DRIVER CIRCUIT OPEN




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Body Control Module C2 connector.
Measure the resistance of the (P126) Passenger Door Unlatch Driver circuit between the BCM C2 connector and the Latch Motor connector.
Is the resistance below 2.0 ohms?

Yes

- Go To 4

No

- Repair the (P126) Passenger Door Unlatch Driver circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

4. (P128) PASSENGER DOOR UNLATCH RETURN CIRCUIT OPEN




Measure the resistance of the (P128) Passenger Door Unlatch Return circuit between the BCM C2 connector and the Latch Motor connector.
Is the resistance below 2.0 ohms?

Yes

- Replace the Body Control Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Repair the Passenger Door Unlatch Return circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
