4A-DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH OPEN/SHORT TO VOLTAGE





For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical

- When Monitored:
Whenever the ignition is in the RUN or ACCESSORY position.

- Set Condition:
When the BCM senses that the voltage on the Driver Window Switch Mux circuit is over 4.5 volts for longer than 30 milliseconds.





Diagnostic Test

1. DTC PRESENT
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch from Off to Run.
Try to operate the Driver Window Motor several times.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display 4A-DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH OPEN/SHORT TO VOLTAGE?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The condition that caused the code to set is not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

2. (G910) DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH RETURN OPEN




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Driver Window Switch connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the (G910) Driver Window Switch Return circuit.
Is the resistance below 8.0 ohms?

No

- Go To 3

Yes

- Go To 4

3. (G910) DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH RETURN WIRE OPEN




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the BCM C2 harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the (G910) Driver Window Switch Return circuit between the Switch connector and the BCM C2 connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

Yes

- Replace the Body Control Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Repair the (G910) Driver Window Switch Return circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

4. SWITCH OPEN




Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage between the (Q1) Driver Switch Mux circuit and ground.
Select the voltage measured.

Between 4.8 and 5.2 volts.

- Replace the Window Switch.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

Below 4.7.volts.

- Go To 5

Above 5.3 volts.

- Go To 6

5. (Q1) DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH MUX WIRE OPEN




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the BCM C3 harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the (Q1) Driver Window Switch Mux circuit between the Switch connector and the BCM C3 connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

Yes

- Replace the Body Control Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Repair the (Q1) Driver Window Switch Mux circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

6. (Q1) DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH MUX WIRE SHORT TO VOLTAGE




Disconnect the BCM C3 harness connector.
Ensure the ignition is on.
Measure the voltage between the (Q1) Driver Window Switch Mux circuit and ground in the switch connector.
Is there any voltage present?

Yes

- Repair the (Q1) Driver Window Switch Mux circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Replace the Body Control Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
