44-DECKLID RELEASE OUTPUT SHORT TO GROUND

- When Monitored:
Whenever the BCM is awake.

- Set Condition:
When the BCM turns on the Decklid Release Driver circuit and detects a voltage of less than 0.5 volts for over 125 milliseconds, this code will set.





Diagnostic Test

1. DTC PRESENT
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch from Off to Run.
Try to operate the Decklid Release several times.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display 44-DECKLID RELEASE OUTPUT SHORT TO GROUND?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The condition that caused the code to set is not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

2. DECKLID RELEASE SOLENOID




Disconnect the Decklid Release Solenoid.
With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch from Off to Run.
Try to operate the Decklid Release several times.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display 44-DECKLID RELEASE OUTPUT SHORT TO GROUND?

Yes

- Go To 3

No

- Replace the Decklid Release Solenoid.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

3. (Q2) DECKLID RELEASE DRIVER WIRE SHORT TO GROUND




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the BCM C4 harness connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the (Q2) Decklid Release Driver circuit.
Is the resistance below 10,000.0 ohms?

Yes

- Repair the (Q2) Decklid Release Driver circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Replace the Body Control Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
