25-PASSENGER DOOR UNLATCH CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND

- When Monitored:
At all times when battery power is supplied to the Body Control Module.

- Set Condition:
When the BCM senses an over current condition on the Passenger Door Unlatch Driver circuit for over 125 milliseconds during an unlatch action.





Diagnostic Test

1. DTC PRESENT
With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Try to open and close the driver door several times while monitoring the scan tool.
Does the scan tool display 25-PASSENGER DOOR UNLATCH CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

2. (P127) DRIVER DOOR UNLATCH DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Body Control Module C4 connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the (P126) Passenger Door Unlatch Driver circuit.
Is the resistance below 10,000 ohms?

Yes

- Go To 4

No

- Go To 3


3. (P126) PASSENGER UNLATCH DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORT TO THE (P128) PASSENGER DOOR LATCH RETURN CIRCUIT




Disconnect the Passenger Door Latch Motor connector.
Measure the resistance between the (P126) Passenger Door Unlatch Driver circuit and the (P128) Passenger Door Unlatch Return circuit in the BCM C4 connector.
Is the resistance below 10,000 ohms?

Yes

- Go To 5

No

- Replace the Body Control Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

4. (P126) PASSENGER DOOR UNLATCH DRIVER WIRE SHORT TO GROUND




Disconnect the Driver Door Latch Motor connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the (P126) Passenger Door Unlatch Driver circuit.
Is the resistance below 10,000.0 ohms?

Yes

- Repair the (P126) Passenger Door Unlatch Driver wire for a short to ground.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Replace the Door Latch Motor.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

5. (P126) PASSENGER DOOR UNLATCH DRIVER WIRE SHORT TO THE (P128) PASSENGER DOOR LATCH WIRE




Disconnect the Passenger Door Latch Motor connector.
Measure the resistance between the (P126) Passenger Door Unlatch Driver circuit and the (P128) Passenger Door Latch return circuit
Is the resistance below 10,000.0 ohms?

Yes

- Repair the (P126) Passenger Door Unlatch Driver wire for a short to the (P128) Passenger Door Latch Return wire.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Replace the Door Latch Motor.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
