BCM Messages Not Received

BCM MESSAGES NOT RECEIVED

For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical

- When Monitored:
With the ignition On.

- Set Condition:
The Instrument Cluster detects no BCM messages for 6 seconds.





Diagnostic Test

1. NO RESPONSE - PCI BUS - BCM
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, attempt to I/D or communicate with the BCM.
Is there a response from the BCM?

Yes

- Go To2

No

- Refer to symptom *BUS +/- SIGNALS OPEN FROM BCM in Manufacturer Trouble Codes. Communications - Verbose Codes
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

2. INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition and wait approximately 1 minute.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Did this DTC reset?

Yes

- Replace the Instrument Cluster.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- The condition is not present at this time. Monitor scan tool parameters while wiggling the related wire harness. Search for any Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) that may apply. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connector terminals.
