B2102-IGNITION RUN/START INPUT CIRCUIT HIGH

For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical.

Theory of Operation

While the CAN bus ignition status is RUN or signal not available and the IOD status is "IN", the Occupant Classification Module (OCM) monitors the CAN BUS message containing the battery voltage. If the module detects that the ignition voltage is greater than 18 volts ±0.25 volts for 3 seconds the DTC be set active.

- When Monitored:
While the CAN bus ignition status is RUN or signal not available and the IOD status is "IN". The module checks the (F12) Fused Ignition Switch Output (Run-Start) circuit voltage input range.

- Set Condition:
If the module detects that the ignition voltage is greater than 18 volts ±0.25 volts for 3 seconds.

Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. Restraints System Pre-Diagnostic Procedure.
