Keyless Go Feature Inoperative

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicle built with GX4 and GXD sales codes.

DISCUSSION:

The Keyless Go feature does not function using the Start/Stop button following a FOBIK replacement, after adding an additional FOBIK or a WCM/WIN replacement.

This condition occurs if the "Passive Entry Module (PEM) replaced function is not completed following another service procedure. Performing this function will transfer the new information of the FOBIK or WCM/WIN to the PEM and re-enable the Keyless Go functionality. Without performing this procedure, the PEM does not recognize that a new or additional FOB 1K was added or a WCM/WIN was replaced. If the Keyless Go feature is inoperative following a repair, run the "PEM Replaced function with the STAR Scan.

NOTE:
To access the PEM Replacement feature:

1. Go to the ECU view on the STARScan tool

2. Select PEM

3. Select Misc. Functions

4. Select and Run the "PEM Replaced" function

5. Learned FOBIK's can be verified in the "Learned Keys Location Test" function and will show the number of FOBIK's within the vehicle that are recognized by the PEM.
