Oil Pressure Indicator Lamp Illuminated - Oil Pressure Switch Harness Contacts A/C
Compressor Pulley

OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves repairing and rerouting the oil pressure switch harness.

MODELS:

2007 (LX) 300, Charger, Magnum

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with 3.5 L engines, sales code EGG.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The oil pressure indictor lamp may illuminate either constantly or intermittently.

DIAGNOSIS:
Inspect the oil pressure switch harness. If the harness has made contact with the A/C compressor pulley, perform the Repair Procedure.





PARTS REQUIRED:

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Inspect the oil pressure switch harness. Make any necessary repairs to the wiring.





2. Route the oil pressure switch harness at least 20 mm (3/4 inch) away from the A/C compressor pulley and install the tie strap, p/n 04856501, around the harness and through the hole in the A/C compressor bracket as shown (Fig. 1).
