SUBJECT:
Front Door Glass Pops Out Of Run Channel
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves installing a glass run channel reinforcement.
MODELS:
2006 (LX) 300, Charger, Magnum
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The front door glass may become dislodged from the front run channel causing the window to bind or become inoperable.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the condition is present, perform the Repair Procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Using the procedures outline procedures outlined in TechCONNECT(R) in the BODY/FRONT DOOR section, remove the door trim panel and water shield.
2. Install the door glass back into the run channel.
3. Remove the protective coating from the adhesive on the reinforcement clip install the clip on to the bottom of the run channel as shown (Fig. 1). Hook the short straight side of the reinforcement clip on to the channel on the side closest to the outer door skin and snap the curved end on to the inside of the channel. The reinforcement clip should be as close to the bottom of the run channel as possible.
4. Install the water shield and door trim panel.
5. Repeat the process to install the reinforcement clip on to the other front door glass channel.
