Windows: Testing and Inspection
This wiring test determines whether or not voltage is continuous through the body harness to the power window switch.Remove switch for testing. (Refer to POWER WINDOWS/POWER WINDOW SWITCH - REMOVAL).
Connect a voltmeter positive lead to Pin 4 and negative lead to Pin 3 of the switch connector (Refer to POWER WINDOWS/POWER WINDOW SWITCH - DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING) in this section for pin call-outs.
Turn ignition switch to the ON position. Voltmeter should read battery voltage.
If OK, go to Window Switch Test.
If not OK, check the 30 amp circuit breaker behind the fuse block or for a broken wire.

The wiring information includes wiring diagrams, proper wire and connector repair procedures, further details of wire harness routing and retention, as well as pin-out and location views for the various wire harness connectors, splices and grounds.
