LATCH REMOTE

REMOVAL

1. Release liftgate latch and open liftgate.
2. Remove rear trunk trim, side trunk trim and. Refer to Trim Panel.

3. Remove trunk lining as necessary to access liftgate latch and latch remote release cable (Fig. 8).
4. Using a suitable drill with a 3 mm (0.125 in.) drill bit, remove pop rivets attaching latch remote to bracket on trunk pan.
5. Remove screw attaching cable assembly to liftgate latch and remove cable from liftgate latch.
6. Remove remote from bracket.
7. Remove latch remote from vehicle.

INSTALLATION

1. Install latch remote cable into liftgate release.
2. Install screw attaching latch remote cable to liftgate latch.
3. Install latch remote to trunk pan bracket.
4. Install pop rivets attaching latch remote to bracket.
5. Install trunk lining into position.
6. Install side trunk and rear trunk trim.
7. Verify liftgate operation. Adjust as necessary.
