DECKLID

REMOVAL

1. Release decklid latch and open decklid.
2. Support decklid on prop rod.
3. Using a scribe, lightly mark the outline of the hinges on the decklid to assist installation.

4. With the aid of a helper to support the decklid, remove nuts attaching hinges to decklid (Fig. 1). Retain any shims found between the decklid hinge and the trunk pan.
5. Remove decklid from vehicle.

INSTALLATION

1. Position decklid to vehicle.
2. With the aid of a helper to support the decklid, loosely install nuts attaching hinges to trunk pan.
3. Install shims between trunk hinge and decklid, if necessary.
4. Using previously made marks, align trunk hinges to the decklid.
5. Tighten nuts attaching decklid hinge to decklid.
6. Verify that decklid is properly aligned to rear deck panel and quarter panels. Adjust as necessary.
