Front Door: Service and Repair

DOOR

REMOVAL

1. Remove door hinge cover.
2. Remove cowl trim cover.

3. Disengage wire connector located behind hinge pillar (Fig. 1) or (Fig. 2).
4. Disengage wire harness boot from hinge pillar and pull door harness from pillar.
5. Using a scribe mark outline of door hinge on hinge pillar to aid installation.
6. Close and latch door.
7. While supporting the front of the door, remove bolts holding door hinge to pillar.
8. Release door latch and separate door from vehicle.

INSTALLATION

1. Position door to vehicle.
2. Close and latch door.
3. Align door hinge to previously made marks on hinge pillar.
4. Install bolts holding door hinge to pillar.
5. Push door harness into pillar and engage wire harness boot to hinge pillar.
6. Engage wire connector located behind hinge pillar.
7. Install cowl trim cover.
8. Install door hinge cover.
