Arming and Disarming the System

SYSTEM ARMING/DISARMING
The Security System can be armed by two different methods.

Alarm Set Led:

ARMING
1. The passive arming method occurs when the vehicle is locked using a door lock/unlock switch while the ignition is OFF, the hood and liftglass are closed and a door is opened. The closing of the vehicle door(s) will start the 15 seconds arm the system. The Alarm Set indicator LED will flash at a 10% duty cycle.
2. The active method of arming takes place upon receiving a lock signal from the electronic entry module with ignition switch in the OFF position and all doors, hood, and liftglass closed.

DISARMING
The system can be disarmed by unlocking the vehicle with the transmitter, or by turning OFF the system with the VTSS Disarm Switch located in the top of the storage box in the center of the rear bulkhead trim panel.

Disarming Without A Transmitter
1. Open the liftglass with the ignition key.

NOTE: The alarm will now be triggered until the disarm switch is activated.

2. Reach in through the liftglass opening and pull down on the manual door latch lever to open the door.
3. Insert the key and turn to disarm the system.
