Wiper Arm: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
The wiper arms/blades overlap. The driver's arm/blade must be above the passenger arm/blade in the park position.

1. Lift cover over the pivot nut and remove nut.
2. Remove the arm from the pivot by using a rocking motion.

INSTALLATION
1. Index (complete single cycle) the wiper motor.

2. Align the wiper arm over the pivot shaft in the park position.
3. Tighten the nut to 9.8 to 13.7 Nm (86.7 to 121.3 in. lbs.).
4. Close the head cover over the nut.
5. Install the washer nozzle hose.
The wiper arms/blades overlap. The driver's arm/blade MUST be above the passenger arm/blade in the park position. Before installing the wiper arm/blade, turn the wiper motors ON, then OFF so that the wiper motors will stop in the park position. Set arm on pivot and position it in the park position. The washer hose is connected to the arm by routing the hose to the outside of the pivot shaft of the wiper motor.
