INSTALLATION





1. Install differential carrier Spreader W-129-B. The use of adapters (Kent-Moore J-24385-20) will be required when using spreader (Fig. 38).





2. Install dial indicator onto case (Fig. 39).
3. Hand tighten spreader and then zero dial indicator.

CAUTION: Never spread differential carrier more than 0.010 inch. If the carrier is spread more than 0.010 inch case distortion or cracking may occur.
4. Tighten spreader with wrench and spread carrier 0.010 inch.





5. With the case spread remove the dial indicator and then install differential case into the differential housing (Fig. 40).
6. Remove spreader from carrier.





7. Install bearing caps in original location (Fig. 41) and install bolts.





8. Install output shafts into carrier and output shaft snap rings (Fig. 42). 9. Install the differential cover plate.
10. Install the rear axle into the vehicle.
11. Fill the differential with gear lubricant.
12. Lower vehicle to ground.
