Message Center Replacement
REMOVAL1. Remove instrument panel center bezel. Disconnect the cigar lighter, power window switch and rear window defogger switch (if equipped) wire connectors.
2. Remove knee blocker right and left sides.
3. Remove headlamp switch knob. Using a stiff wire or a small tool, insert it into the hole at the bottom of the knob. Pushing up with the tool and gently pull rearward till the lock tab releases the knob. Remove knob. Use care not to break the locking tab.
4. Remove the steering column shroud and it may require lowering of the steering column for additional clearance.
5. Remove instrument panel bezel. Use care not to break the locking tab.

6. Remove three mounting screws from message center (Fig. 1).
7. Remove message center and disconnect wire connectors.
INSTALLATION
1. Connect wire connectors and place gauge inside instrument panel opening.
2. Remove three mounting screws from message center (Fig. 1).
3. Install the instrument panel bezel. Use care not to break the locking tab.
4. Install the steering column shroud. It may require reinstalling the steering column if additional clearance was needed.
5. Install the headlamp switch knob by pushing forward.
6. Install the knee blocker right and left sides.
7. Connect the cigar lighter, power window switch and rear window defogger switch (if equipped) wire connectors. Install the instrument panel center bezel.
