Oil Pressure Warning Lamp/Indicator: Testing and Inspection

The engine low oil pressure warning lamp will illuminate when the ignition key is turned to the ON position. The lamp also illuminates when the engine oil pressure drops below a safe oil pressure level.

Oil Sending Unit/Sensor:

To test the system, turn the ignition key to the ON position. If the lamp fails to light, inspect for broken or disconnected wires at the oil pressure sensor unit located at the front of the engine.
