Oil Pan: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
(1) Disconnect the battery.
(2) Raise the vehicle and drain engine oil.
(3) Remove oil pan screws and remove oil pan.

NOTE: Clean and inspect oil pan gasket. The pan gasket can be used again if in good condition.

INSTALLATION





Fig. 83

(1) Use a new pan gasket, if necessary (Fig. 83).
(2) Install the oil pan and tighten screws to 11 Nm (95 in. lbs.).
(3) Lower vehicle and connect battery.
(4) Fill the crankcase with oil to proper level.
