Oil Cooler: Service and Repair
REMOVAL(1) Lift vehicle on hoist.
(2) Cover and protect the front fascia.
(3) Working through the fascia opening, remove the lower oil cooler line from cooler.

(4) Loosen the left side (driver's side) oil cooler mounting screw (Fig. 26).
(5) Remove the right side (passenger side) oil cooler mounting screw (Fig. 26).
(6) While supporting the oil cooler with a wrench, loosen and remove the upper oil cooler line.
(7) Remove the left side oil cooler mounting screw.
(8) Remove the oil cooler through the fascia opening.
INSTALLATION
(1) Position oil cooler through fascia opening.
(2) Loosely install left side oil cooler mounting screw (Fig. 26).
(3) Install the upper oil cooler line and tighten to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
(4) Position oil cooler and install and tighten the right side oil cooler mounting screw to 23 Nm (200 in. lbs.) (Fig. 26).
(5) Tighten the left side oil cooler mounting screw to 23 Nm (200 in. lbs.).
(6) Install the bottom oil cooler line and tighten to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
(7) Start the engine to circulate and fill the oil cooler. Shut off the engine and check the oil level. Add oil as needed.
(8) Inspect the oil cooler connections for leaks and correct as needed.
