LIFTGATE SUPPORT CYLINDER

REMOVAL

1. Release liftgate latch and open liftgate.
2. Support liftgate on a suitable prop rod.
3. Separate support cylinder from the ball stud on the liftgate.
4. Separate support cylinder from the ball stud on the trunk pan bracket.
5. Remove the support cylinder from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION

1. Position the support cylinder to the vehicle.
2. Engage support cylinder to the ball stud on the trunk pan bracket.
3. Engage support cylinder to the ball stud on the liftgate.
4. Remove prop rod and verify support cylinder operation.
