Lubricant

DESCRIPTION
The lubricant recommended for the T-56 transmission is Mopar Synthetic Manual Trans Lubricant 75W-85 (MS-9070). Any lubricant conforming to Material Standard MS-9070 is acceptable for use.

The use of automatic transmission fluid is not recommended. At higher temperatures the lower viscosity of these fluids may cause transmission noises associated with gear rattle and/or clash.

Hypoid gear lube must not be used in this transmission. Use of hypoid gear lube will cause hard shifting effort and/or transmission failure.
