Complete System Bleed

1. Remove the reservoir cap and diaphragm taking care not to damage the diaphragm (Fig. 8). If the fluid level is not up to the step in the reservoir, add D.O.T. 4 brake fluid.
CAUTION: Use of fluid other than D.O.T. 4 compatible brake fluid will cause system malfunction.
2. While slowly depressing the clutch pedal, open the bleed screw on the clutch slave cylinder.
3. While holding down the clutch pedal retighten the bleed screw. Tighten the bleed screw to 15 - 20 Nm (11 - 14 ft. lbs.).
4. Repeat Step 2 and Step 3 two times. Recheck fluid level in reservoir per Step 1.
5. Pump the clutch pedal as rapidly as possible a minimum of 10 times.
6. If clutch pedal still feels spongy, repeat Step 2 through Step 5.
