Control Circuit Testing

The starter control circuit has:
- Starter solenoid
- Starter relay
- Clutch pedal mounted starter interlock switch with manual transmissions
- Ignition switch
- Battery
- All related wiring and connections

CAUTION: Fuel and Ignition Systems must be disabled to prevent the engine from starting while performing any of the following tests.

To disable the fuel and ignition systems, disconnect the Automatic Shutdown Relay (ASD). The ASD is located in the Power Distribution Center (PDC). Refer to the PDC cover of Power Distribution for location of the relay.
