Decklid Hinge

DECKLID HINGE

REMOVAL

1. Release decklid latch and open decklid.
2. Support decklid on a suitable prop rod.

3. Using a suitable marking device, lightly mark the outline of the decklid to assist installation (Fig.2).
4. Remove nuts attaching decklid hinge to the trunk pan.
5. Remove nuts attaching decklid hinge to the decklid.
6. Remove hinge.

INSTALLATION

1. Position decklid hinge on vehicle.
2. Position any shims retrieved during removal between the hinge and the trunk pad. Install nuts attaching hinge to trunk pan.
3. Loosely install nuts attaching the hinge to the decklid.
4. Align the hinge marks made on the decklid.
5. Tighten, the nuts attaching hinge to the decklid.
6. Verify liftgate operation and alignment. Adjust as necessary.
