Seat Belt Buckle Switch: Testing and Inspection

Fig. 1 Seat Belt Warning System Diagnosis:

1. Test chime module refer to Seat Belt Warning System Diagnosis. If module is OK, proceed to Step 2.

2. Using an ohmmeter, test terminal 5 of the chime module connector for ground with driver and passenger seat belt buckled.
3. If not grounded, test both seat belt buckle switches for a good ground.
4. If ground is OK, replace buckle switch. If not grounded, repair as necessary.
