Oil Pump Replacement

Note: It is necessary to remove the chain case cover (CCC) to service the oil pump rotors. Refer to Engine, Service and Repair, Timing Chain and Cover.
The oil pump pressure relief valves can be serviced by removing the oil filter adapter. Refer to Engine, Service and Repair, Disassembly and Reassembly, Oil Pump.

INSTALLATION

1. Prime oil pump before installation by filling rotor cavity with engine oil.
2. Install chain case cover slowly. Refer to Engine, Service and Repair, Timing Chain and Cover.
3. Install oil filter adapter with new gasket and torque to 11 Nm (95 inch lbs.).
