Antitheft and Alarm Systems: Testing and Inspection

VTSS Diagnosis:

The EEM system is fully addressable with DRB III scan tool and it is the recommended method for diagnosis. The EEM system does not display any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's). All of the input switches to the EEM can be read with the DRB III scan tool under the I/O screen. The doors can be unlatched with the DRB III scan tool under actuator tests. If the inputs are OK and the outputs can be cycled with the DRB III scan tool, the problem is most likely the EEM. Refer to VTSS Diagnosis table for added diagnostics.
