Instrument Cluster Module No Response
NAME OF CODEMIC Messages Not Received
WHEN MONITORED
With ignition on.
SET CONDITION
BCM has not received a PCI bus messages from the Mechanical Instrument Cluster (MIC) for at least 14 seconds.
THEORY OF OPERATION
BCM receives a variety of information from the MIC over the PCI bus. If the flow of information is stopped for over 14 seconds, the BCM will set this fault.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
- Wiring open circuit
- Wiring short to ground
- Wiring short to battery
- Failed MIC
- Failed BCM
