Air Cleaner Housing: Description and Operation

The Viper air inlet system does not preheat ambient air. On the Coupe model the majority of the inlet air is directed into the air cleaner front housing from the hood mounted NACA duct. On the Roadster model the airduct connects directly to the front portion of the air cleaner. On both models the incoming ambient air passes through two filter elements in the air cleaner. From the filters, ambient air passes through the throttle bodies into the intake manifold.
