Headlamp Bulb: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Release hood latch and open hood.
2. Remove jackscrews attaching headlamp housing to crossmember and remove the lamp housing to access the lamp(s).
3. Disconnect wire connector from back of lamp socket.
4. Rotate retaining ring (High beam or Low beam) and pull lamp socket from headlamp housing.
5. Remove bulb from lamp socket.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION: Do not touch the glass of halogen bulbs with fingers or other possibly oily surface, reduced bulb life will result.

1. Push bulb into lamp socket.
2. Place lamp socket into headlamp housing and rotate retaining ring to the lock position.

Headlamp Bulb:

3. Connect wire connector to lamp socket(s).
4. Place lamp housing in position on vehicle.
5. Verify headlamp operation.
6. Install jackscrews to attach headlamp housing to crossmember.
7. Verify headlamp operation and alignment.
