Wiper Trouble Shooting Guide
1. No power function in any position of the wiper switch, check fuse 18 (20 amp). If OK, perform Wiper Control Switch Test, in low operation mode. If not OK, replace fuse.2. Wiper operates on low speed only. Perform Wiper Control Switch Test, in low operation mode.
3. Wiper operates on high only, Perform Wiper Control Switch Test, in high operation mode.
4. No operation in intermittent switch setting. Perform Wiper Control Switch Test, in intermittent operation mode.
5. Wiper does not automatically operate when washers are energized. Perform Wiper Control Switch Test, in high operation mode.
6. Wiper operates unusually:
- Any degree of interference between either arm and blade.
- Wiper operation does not synchronize.
7. Check proper alignment of wiper arm, refer to wiper Arm Adjustment. If not OK, set the arms and blades to proper alignment. If OK, check if arm is tighten to proper torque. If tight, motor or wiring will be at fault. Replace the motor/control module, check the wiper operation.
8. One or both wipers do not return to park position when either wiper switch is turned OFF or ignition switch is turned OFF go to Step 6.
9. One or both sides do not stop when wiper switch is turned OFF go to Step 6.
