If damaged, the upper control arm is serviced only as an assembly. Inspect the upper control arm for any signs of damage. If control arm shows any sign of damage the upper control arm must be replaced. Do not attempt to repair or straighten a broken or bent upper control arm.

The only replaceable components of the upper control arm are the isolator bushings and the pivot bar. The ball joint used in the upper control arm is threaded not pressed into the control arm. Due to the torque required to thread the ball joint into the control arm and the risk of damage to the threads when removing and installing the ball joint, the upper ball joint is not replaceable. No other repair or replacement procedure should be attempted on any component of the upper control arm.
