Throttle Cable/Linkage: Adjustments

Fig. 8 Accelerator Pedal Stop Plate:

1. Place a 0.039 (1.0 mm) shim on the accelerator pedal down stop located at the floor mounting of the accelerator pedal (Fig. 8).
2. Depress the accelerator pedal to the shim plate or full throttle.
3. Loosen the adjustable throttle cable bracket and move fore and aft until full wide open throttle is achieved on the throttle bodies.
4. Tighten throttle cable bracket bolts to 10.7 Nm (95 in. lbs.).
5. Check accelerator to brake pedal offset for compliance to build specification of 30 to 40 mm (1 1/8 to 1 9/16).
