Wiper Motor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Open hood assembly

Wiper Arm Removal:

2. Remove windshield wiper arms.

Multi Function Switch Connector:

3. Remove cowl trim panel.
4. Remove hoses from hose connectors.

Cowl Trim Panel:

5. Remove three motor mounting screws.
6. Disconnect motor wiring connector.
7. Remove motor cover and motor.

INSTALLATION
- For installation reverse the above procedures. Tighten motor mounting nuts 7 to 8 N.m (60 to 70 in. lbs.) torque. Before installing the wiper arm and blade, turn wiper motors ON, then turn wiper switch OFF so that the wiper motors will stop in the park position. Refer to Wiper Arm Adjustment for proper alignment.
