Driver/Vehicle Information Display: Testing and Inspection

MESSAGE CENTER TEST
1. Warning lamps come on when the ignition switch is first turned to the ON position and will remain ON for a few seconds to confirm lamps are working.
2. If any lamps do not light, remove message center. Check lamps and replace as necessary Refer to Message Center Replacement for removal.

Message Center And Printed Circuit Board:

3. If none of the lamps light, Remove the message center and inspect printed circuit board. Pay special attention to area where the arrow is pointing. If OK go to next step. If not, replace message center.
4. If lamp(s) are always ON or lighting when they should not, test the sending units and wiring.
