Data Link Connector Operation

CIRCUIT OPERATION
The data link connector is used to link the scan tool with the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

Power for the data link connector is supplied on circuit F12, and circuit F30. The F12 circuit is HOT in the START and RUN position only and protected by a 20 Amp fuse located in cavity 1 of the fuse block.

Circuit F30 is HOT at all times and protected by a 25 Amp fuse located in cavity 7 of the fuse block.

Ground for the data link connector is supplied on circuit Z12.

Circuit D20 and D21 are used for SCI communications between the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and the data link connector.

Circuits D1 and D2 are used for CCD communications between the PCM, data link connector, and the Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS) module.
