CHMSL Flickers As Brakes Are Applied

MODELS:
1996 (SR) Viper Coupe

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

The center high mounted stop lamp (CHMSL) may flicker as the stop lamp is illuminated. This is most noticeable at night as the brakes are applied.

DIAGNOSIS:

With the engine idling, have one person apply the brakes while another watches the CHMSL, if a flicker is noticed proceed to the repair procedure. It may be necessary to repeat the brake application several times for the flicker to be noticed.
