Oil Pump Replacement

The content of this article reflects changes called for in TSB 26-09-96.

REMOVAL
It is necessary to remove the timing cover to service the oil pump rotors. The oil pump pressure relief valves can be serviced by removing the oil filter adapter.

INSTALLATION
1. Prime oil pump before installation by filling rotor cavity with engine oil.
2. Install timing cover slowly.
3. Install oil filter adapter with new gasket and torque to 11 Nm (95 inch lbs.).
