Hood Sensor/Switch (For Alarm): Description and Operation

CIRCUIT OPERATION
The hood ajar switch is used to monitor the position of the hood, Circuit G70 connects from the Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS) module to the switch. Ground for the switch is supplied on circuit Z1.

The switch is normally OPEN. When the hood is opened the switch CLOSES connecting circuits G7O and Z1.
