Skip Shift Solenoid
The Skip Shift Solenoid is used to prevent the operator from shifting into second or third gear under certain conditions.Power for the solenoid is supplied on circuit A21. This circuit is HOT at all times and is protected by a fusible link located near the battery positive terminal.
Ground for the solenoid is controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), on circuit K33. This circuit connects to cavity 55 of the PCM connector.
To energize the solenoid, the PCM provides a ground path for circuit K33.
