Service Procedure
1. Lower the window glass.2. Remove the door belt molding attaching screw (located at the rear of the front doors and the front of the rear doors).
3. Pull upward on the screw end of the molding and separate molding from vehicle.
^ Front door moldings must be pulled rearward from under the mirror.
^ Rear door moldings must be pried outward at the flag area to disengage the flag retainers.
4. The center molding attaching clips will scratch paint off the door sheet metal as they are removed. To prevent corrosion, coat the scratches liberally with Mopar Corrosion Inhibitor, PN 82300068 or equivalent, prior to installing the new molding.
5. Install the door molding as follows:
^ Front -- Insert the forward end of the molding under the mirror and work into position from front to rear using heal of hand. Install the attaching screw.
^ Rear -- Remove the existing barrel clips from the rear door molding flag area and install provided clips (Figure 1).
Place radius of flag area over door flange. Push and seat molding flag posts into barrel clips on door. Work molding into place with heal of hand, starting in radius of flag and then the two center clips. Check that flag is fully seated into clips and install the attaching screw (Figure 2).
6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 for the other three doors.
