Service Procedure
1. Remove the rear seat cushion.2. Inspect the right and left outboard seat belt anchors (Figure 1).
^ If the anchor locating tabs on BOTH rear outboard seat belt anchors are between the two floor pan dimples (Figure 2), no further action is necessary. Reinstall the rear seat cushion and return the vehicle to the customer.
^ If the anchor locating tabs on either or both of the rear outboard seat belt anchors are NOT between the two floor pan dimples, continue with step 3.
3. Loosen the affected outboard seat belt anchor bolt(s).
4. Turn the anchor bracket(s) such that the locating tab is between the two floor pan dimples (Figure 2).
5. Tighten the anchor bolt(s) to 275 in-lbs (31 N.m).
IMPORTANT:
Make sure that the locating tab remains between the floor pan dimples while tightening the anchor bolt. Bend the locating tab down if necessary.
6. Reinstall the rear seat cushion.
