ABS Warning Lamp Circuit

ABS Warning Lamp Circuit

WHEN MONITORED:
The test is conducted at power-up.

SET CONDITION:
The Controller, Anti-lock Brake (CAB) can control as well as monitor the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) warning lamp function. If the CAB detects a trouble code in the ABS system, it will activate the warning lamp driver. The trouble code is stored if the CAB detects the lamp on when it should be off, or off when it should be on at power up.

NOTE: JA body vehicles will illuminate the red BRAKE warning lamp if this code is detected.

POSSIBLE CAUSES:
- ABS warning lamp driver open
- ABS warning lamp driver shorted
- Failed warning lamp bulb
- Open fused ignition switch output to bulb
- Failed CAB
