PRE-REMOVAL OPERATION

REMOVAL
1. Power steering oil pressure switch connector
2. Heated oxygen sensor connector
3. Intake air temperature sensor connector
4. Injector connectors
5. Control wiring harness
6. Vacuum hose connection
7. Fuel return hose connection
8. Fuel pressure regulator
9. 0-ring
10. Fuel pipe
11. 0-rings
12. Remove Fuel rail with injectors.
CAUTION: Do not drop the injectors.

NOTE: The installation steps are in reverse order so that they will correspond to the numbers in the image.

a. Apply a small amount of clean engine oil to the O-ring.
CAUTION: Do not let the engine oil get into the fuel rail.
b. While turning the injector to the left and right, install it to the fuel rail.
c. Check to be sure that the injector turns smoothly. If it does not turn smoothly, the O-ring may be trapped, remove the injector and then re-insert it into the fuel rail and check once again.

8. Fuel pressure regulator
a. Apply a small amount of clean engine oil to a new O-ring and insert it to the fuel rail carefully.
CAUTION: Do not let the engine oil get into the fuel rail.
b. If the fuel pressure regulator does not move smoothly, the O-ring may be folded. Then, remove the regulator to check the O-ring for damage.
c. Tighten the regulator to the specified torque. Tightening torque: 8.8 Nm (6.5 ft lb)

0. Pressurize fuel system and check for leaks.
